The young evergreen trees have oval bluish-green leaves while the mature trees develop long, narrow and yellow leaves with creamy-white flowers and smooth gray bark.

Eucalyptus essential oil uses include treating skin ailments such as burns, blisters, flesh wounds, insect bites, lice and skin infection.  It is also used to combat the effects the common cold and the flu.  There is also a history of Eucalyptus essential oil being used to treat sore muscles and/or joints.

Eucalyptus has long been used in Southern Asia for its medicinal purposes.  However, in Spain Eucalyptus wood was once used for construction purposes.

Aroma: Eucalyptus has a very herbaceous scent. It also has soft wood undertones. 

Blends with: Cedarwood, Lavender, Lemon, Pine and Rosemary.

Cautions: Avoid during pregnancy.
