The Frankincense tree originates from Oman and the Middle East.  The oil is produced from the sticky, fragrant resin that is produced by slashing the bark of the tree.

Frankincense essential oil is highly prized in the perfume industry and amongst aromatherapists for its unique aroma.

Also known as Olibanum, Frankincense was used by the ancient Egyptians as a rejuvenating face mask, worn during religious worship.

Aroma: A delicate mix of woody and spicy aromas.

Blends with: Bergamot, Cedarwood, Chamomile, Cinnamon, Clary Sage, Geranium

Properties: antiseptic, astringent, carminative, digestive, diuretic, sedative, tonic and expectorant.
